Today is Solemnity of St Joseph…while looking through the stories.. today is connected with St Joseph and a Cream pastry..

Made me thinking of a friend I know in Boston.. He told me his story of St Joseph and a pastry..

On this Day.. St Joseph is asked for a sign from St Joseph… he was in his car.. a knock on the window of his car.. it was a woman with a pastry who said ‘this is from St Joseph’ St Joseph and pastry is a big thing in Boston.. a cultural thing.

When he got home he put it in the Refrigerator… not wanting to damage it.. leave it for a time to enjoy. Something funny happened. A day turned into months which turned into years.. with that pastry still good and in same place..

when he told me that story the pastry was already years old.. that was years ago..

About 5 years ago he asked me to bless someone in Boston. I wanted to see the pastry.. there it was exactly as it was those many years ago still good. Except I took a bit of icing from it with a fork!! Good as day it was made..

When I saw how St Joseph is connected to pastries.. I remember this story.. and Yes I am asking St Joseph to send me one of his pastries made in the Heavey bakery!!
