On All Souls Day.. the Church encourages all priests to offer 3 masses. One for the Pope. One for the Souls in Purgatory.. One for a private intention. my private intention will be another Mass for the souls in Purgatory. This 3rd Mass is the only one a priest can take a stipend. In the 27 years I have been a priest.. I have followed this ancient traditions of offering 3 masses on All Souls Day. I will wake up at 430 Am on Wednesday.. to offer the 3 Masses. If you would like for me to remember your loved one who have died. Sent me their names in the comments and I will offer 2 masses on Wednesday for them!!!

It was Pope Benedict who said I believe that ‘The majority of men are neither so immoral to go to Hell, or so good to go directly to Heaven but need purification after death to reach Heaven.’
That sounds true to me and reasonable conclusion. As your self a question. ’If you died today are you so holy as to go directly to Heaven as an Saint? Me.. no I do need much purification but I see this as God Goodness In line with His Justice and Love.
