God speaks to us in nature.. the leaves are changing into a myriad of colors.. the leaves are most beautiful when they are about to die.

Scripture says ‘how blessed is the death of His Holy ones’

So fall is an image of Purgatory as the leaves are most beautiful in death so are those who are coming close to Jesus in death as they fall from the tree of life and in death come to eternal life with God.
