When we pray in faith and anoint our loved one and they die. How God not answer our prayer.  St Augustine says that God always answers our prayers. Even when He say not right now it is because He wants to answer our prayers in a more perfect way. When we anoint our loved one at the hospital and we pray in faith, the prayer of faith and they die. Jesus still heard our prayer.

Jesus was anointed before He died. We remember this during Holy Week. When the priest gives a person Last Rites at the hospital and they still die. Jesus still answered their prayer as they we anointed to share in the most perfect healing of the body in the Resurrection of Body at the end of time.

Lazarus who was raised from the dead, died again. But his resurrection from the tomb was still a prefigurement of Jesus Resurrection. We will all die no matter how many miracles of healing we receive. So at some time, no matter how much we pray that our loved one gets out of the hospital bed. Our Prayers will still seem like they were not answered. But As St Augustine says ‘Even when God says no to our prayer it is because He intends to give us a more perfect answer to our prayer. We might be praying that our loved one gets healed of cancer but God wants to heal the person totally and entirely..
