Today as I give Last Rites to people quickly dying and going to God. In fact, as I looked at one heart monitor there are 3 lines. The red line is flat but 2 others lines have small bumps here and there.

Ask nurse help in reading the monitor and what line shows bodily death. In fact, someone might be dead but the heart monitor is showing some number like heart at 45..

Like today, nurse assured me person was alive for the last rites/ apostolic blessing. Say to daughter ‘on the day of Jesus birthday. Your mother will celebrate her birthday in Heaven.’

St Augustine wrote ‘For what greater grace could God have made to dawn on us than to make his only Son become the son of man, so that a son of man might in his turn become the son of God?’

The feast day after Christmas is feast of St Stephen. With grace and eternal life that came into the world we see death. The martyrdom of St Stephen and the Holy Innocent. Why?

It is to show us that earth is not our true home, and death is not an end. With the birthday of Jesus. We have another birthday into eternal life and when we die life with The Trinity for eternity,

St Theresa said on her death bed ‘I want to see God and in order to see Him I must die.’

As St Paul says ‘O death where is your victory. O death where is your sting.’
