My dad was assigned to work at the US Embassy in Tokyo Japan  1984 to 1988. The Summer of 1985 I went to Tokyo to visit my dad and spend my Easter break with him in Tokyo. His apartment was caller Perry Tower… named after a famous  Perry.. from I believe WW II and there was another Perry who was the first to land in North Pole.. But I am sure the tower was named after the Perry from WW II

My dad was coming off of a re conversions at this Famous Franciscan Church in Roppongi Japan. Japan is only about 1 percent Catholic but this particular Church  was instrumental in many converts in Japan. So on the Easter Vigil  of 1985.. My dad and I went to the Church and the service was long from 8 pm to midnight, a true Easter Vigil. Why midnight because we don’t know the precise moment that Jesus rose from the dead but it was between evening and midnight so the true vigil goes to midnight.. and  it was at the this Franciscan Church in Roppongi Japan that I participated in a vigil all the way to midnight.
