When I was assigned to St Patrick’s I lead a trip to the Holy Land.. we had an afternoon free.. and the tour guide pointed to the Church where St Stephen was Stoned to death..

This was about 18 years ago.. a bit less by a half a year or so.. but I remember the tour guide said ‘because of unrest the Church was sacked and closed’ ..: I was trying to find this in a google search but unsuccessful.. so if you find it much appreciated..

With the afternoon free and with a fellow pilgrim.. we walked to the church of St Stephen in Jerusalem.. all closed.. but undeterred.. we hopped the fence.. grounds were in chaos.. could see the damage from the riots.. but I wanted to be on the spot where St Stephen was stoned.. at that points I heard dogs or something I we hop the fence out of the grounds.. and walked into old city of Jerusalem.. to the Church tomb where Jesus was killed and buried..
