It not how we begin but how we end.
YesterdayI went to have dinner with a priest at St Theresa… after doing 2 house blessing in the area.. went into the adoration Chapel.. There was a beautiful paint of Saint Louis and Zelie Martin, the parents of St Therese in the chapel.. I look up there feast day and it is July 12.. and the Novena starts on July 3… so I started a Novena to Louis and Zelie..
A lady comes up and says Hi.. She tells me about her mother.. who as homeless for 15 years.. but found her way to a Catholic Church in Arlington Diocese, and the priest gave her mother Confirmation…St Therese.. confession, anointing and Communion.. and the priest saw her for 7 weeks every Sunday to give her Communion..
The lady, the Mother of the lady in the chapel I meet.. had an emergency and was in the ER at Fairfax Hospital, 5 years ago.. I came into the room and gave gave Last Rites, and we prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet.. and she died later that evening.
As I was taking to the lady daughter in the adoration chapel. She was holding a treasure, the plastic rosary that I gave her when I gave her mother Last Rites those many years ago,
I told her, your mom had a good life, in that she died as a Saint of God..
It is not how we begin life but how we end our life>>>
