I have mass in my room most days at 530 am.. I find my eyes are not what they use to be.. so the light of a candle helps..

In the book of Revelation Jesus is standing between 7 large candles on the altar. In many Catholic Churches there are 7 candles on the altar.. we read in Revelation 1 12 ‘then I turned and saw seven golden lamp stands, and in the midst of the golden lamp stands one like the Son of Man.’

There is a light in front of the Tabernacle to show Jesus is present..light never goes out..

I was at a family house where the wife mother.. had a candle always lit in the house.. like for the last 30 years in front of an icon of Mary.. the lighted candle purpose was not for a relaxing bath but as a constant reminder that Mary was in the home.. the lighted candle help make the house a domestic Church.. the light had never gone out in this house..
