Is your Money safe in the bank.. There is a looming banking crisis in our country.  In 1929 there was a run on the bank. While this banking crisis today might not be as bad.. I was thinking Jesus says ‘ Store your treasure in Heaven where neither thieves can steal or moth destroy.’ Saint Peter Chrysologus wrote “When you fast, if your mercy is thin your harvest will be thin; when you fast, what you pour out in mercy overflows into your barns. Therefore, do not lose by saving, but gather in by scattering. Give to the poor, and you give to yourself. You will not be allowed to keep what you have refused to give to others.’

Saint Louis de Mintfort refers to Mary as a bank.. Where your money is safe. He writes ‘ They thought themselves well able to hold on to their treasures. They believed their house secure enough and their coffers strong enough to safeguard their precious treasure of grace. It was because of their unconscious reliance on self- although it seemed to them they were relying solely on the grace of God.- that the most just Lord left them to themselves and allowed them to be despoiled. If they had known of this wonderful devotion….they would have entrusted their devotion to Mary, the powerful and faithful Virgin. She would have kept it for them as if it were her own possession and even have considered that trust an obligation of justice.’

With Mary there will never be a banking crisis.. What we deposit to Her of our prayers, good works, our feeble efforts to do good. She keep them safe and eternally secure in the vault of Her Immaculate Heart..
