God Choice!!

In the 3rd century they were having trouble deciding who should be the next pope. Fabian a layperson not even baptized walk by. A dove lands on him. The priests of Rome take that to be a sign and they baptize, confirm, and give him first communion. Then make him pope.

From a website Angels and Saints we read ‘Suddenly during the discussion, a dove descended from the ceiling. But it didn’t settle on “someone known” for anything at all. The dove, according to Eusebius, “settled on [Fabian’s] head as clear imitation of the descent of the Holy Spirit in the formof a dove upon the Savior.” There must have been something of the Holy Spirit working because everyone suddenly proclaimed Fabian as “worthy” to be pope and this stranger was elected.’

In the last few days we read how Samuel anointed David as king. God says ‘Man sees the appearance God sees the heart. Not as man sees does God See.’

God choices often the most unlikely people. God sees your heart!!!
