As a kid i religiously watched the Redskins. Being busy on Sunday hospital slowly fell out of it. I think it has been a least a couple of years since I have watched an entire game.
I just lost the interest fell away. Yes i might still watch a game now and then. Like at a super bowl party. But otherwise no.
Made me think of those who no longer go to mass. They are not hostile to religion. They no longer have an emotional connection. It used to be the thought that people will come back to Church to get married or get their kid baptized.
But this is no longer true. This is the fastest growing segment the nones. They have no emotional connection to a Church or organized religion. They are not coming back.
They have to be won back, attracted back.
I wrote this about the Super Bowl today. And it made me think just now of what I wrote above.
I was thinking about the Super Bowl.. as a kid young adult followed the Red Skins every week..
with Brady and that other guy.. the one who took off his shirt being gone..
I cannot name by memory a single prayer active in all of the NFL..
I guess If I had to pick a team to win Bengals.. why… who would have thought Bengals would be in Super Bowl
I just wonder if it will 9 inning well who over gets the more basket wins. LoL
It is true about not knowing any active player in the NFL…
Will still enjoy watching the game
Actually will watch about 30 minutes of game. As I have something else at 730.. so I will guess glance at game from where I am from time to time.,
I just remember another player I know but now also retired Big Ben.
Is Bret Fare still playing or retired if he is still playing Bret Fare right now is the only players I know by memory right now active in NFL
