Facebook is becoming part of the Meta Universe. In this new Meta Universe you can put on a pair of glasses and go and experience anything.

It is the ultimate in you don’t have to leave your house room even bed to experience the world. Unfortunately, it is a false world.

It struck me that in philosophy metaphysic is the read world, the world of the supernatural God. So the meta world of Facebook is a perversion of what Aristotle and St Thomas called ‘metaphysic.’

In Matt Fradd book ‘How to be Happy. Saint Thomas secret to a good life’ he writes ‘The philosopher Robert Nozick offers a thought experiment that shows why pleasure is not our ultimate good, even if it could be unending in duration. Nozick asks if you would want to be hooked up to a virtual reality ‘pleasure machine ‘ akin to the false reality of the Matrix films. In this world you could have anything you wanted, any way you wanted. But most people would not want to have pleasure that is derived from illusionary people and things:’

When this philosopher wrote this I bet his convulsion was correct., but now with Facebook I phone Twitter. I think we are now at the point where many people, in not a majority of generation Z are willing to give it a try.. only to find out there is no gold at the end of this rainbow only a note desperate search for happiness.
