Every-morning I take a rosary walk… walk to the Safeway.. buy some things.. walk back to Parish.. around 845.. go to the hospital..

On my walk for the last 2 years.. say Hi to nice security guard from S.. Lanka.. sitting in his car..He often ask me to ‘pray for him as he sees me praying my rosary.’ Very nice man.. I think he is Muslim but always asks for my prayer ‘mostly that his family be allowed to live here.’

This morning walk into Safeway to get some Peppers and Baby Carrots.. for veggies to bring to the hospital.. Pager goes off. A man just died.

Make a snap decision. I am about 15 minutes hard walk back to parish.. to get into my car to get to the hospital. God did not design my body to run.. Walk fast maybe running No..

Back. I am dressed as a priest.. so people know who I am.. make a snap decision to see if someone who drive me to the rectory about quarter mile away.. my request seemed like something a reasonable person might ask.. interesting seeing reaction.. from our right no. To bring disregard, to a Muslim lady who looked at me not sure if I was a crazy person, or a. Angel, to a lady who reasoned very nicely that she was picking up her daughter and wish she could.

So I knew my security guard was in his car.. explained my situation. He drove me to my rectory. Got into my car drove to the hospital. Came into room. Saw the brown scapular and rosary I put on him the day before. Yesterday I gave him Last Rites, Litany of Saints, Chaplet of Mercy., explain to family that the most important prayers were done yesterday while he was alive. Pray prayers for the dead..

Got to the Hospital with my blood pumping!!
