‘Mother Teresa passed away on September 5, 1997, while Princess Diana passed away on August 31, 1997. Though they did not die on the same day, they did pass away only days apart. Both women were highly influential and beloved throughout the world.’
Mother Thersa had a friendship with Princess Diana.. from an article from the National Catholic Register…’
The Unlikely Friendship Between Mother Teresa and Princess Diana
“She was very concerned for the poor. She was very anxious to do something for them, and it was beautiful. That is why she was close to me.”
Soon after I settled in, I found out that the house had been given to the Missionaries of Charity by Princess Diana — or something of the sort. She had worked with Mother Teresa to found the shelter, a pro-life home for pregnant women seeking to adopt their children rather than abort them. Princess Diana? I remember thinking. Isn’t she over in Wales? What would royalty have to do with a tiny, wrinkly, homey nun that owns ten things to her name – at best?
The short of it is that Mother Teresa cherished a profound and touching relationship with Princess Diana. Fascinatingly, Mother Teresa died only six days after Princess Diana had been killed in a car accident in 1997. Immediately after Diana’s death, Mot
her sent a condolence message that said, “She was very concerned for the poor. She was very anxious to do something for them, and it was beautiful. That is why she was close to me.”
God in his providence connected the death of Mother Thersa and Princess Diana.. now that is a matter of fact.. what makes this interesting is that Sept 5 last Monday was the feast of Mother Thersa.. but with Queen Elizabeth today I would suggest that the Princess Diana Mother Thersa and Queen Elizabeth are United in death and in Eternity..
Queen’s admiration
The Queen spoke with fond memories of Mother Teresa at the time. In her Christmas message in December 2016, she expressed her appreciation for everything Mother Teresa of Calcutta had done. The Queen said ordinary people could do “extraordinary things” through their quiet dedication.
In her televised speech, the Queen revealed how she drew strength from people such as carers, volunteers, community organisers and good neighbours. She described them as “unsung heroes” who were special as a result of their quiet dedication. “They are an inspiration to those who know them,” Queen Elizabeth said. “Their lives frequently embody a truth expressed by Mother Teresa – from this year, Saint Teresa of Calcutta.”
I would like to see a statue holy card of Princess Diana Mother Theresa and Queen Elizabeth who providence connected in life and in death.. and how there 3 lives have a thread of connection that is more than meets the eye!
Queen Elizabeth may you be greeted by all the saints in Heaven
